Transatlantic Transfers - Understanding the tax implications of US/UK Mobility.

Description:

Date:     19 May 2010

Time:     8:00 AM US/PDT

Cost:      None

Transatlantic transfers between the UK and the US are a common occurrence in the mobility world. In recent months, however, changes have occurred on both sides of the Atlantic that are set to have a significant impact on the tax implications of assignments between the two countries. With the General Election in the UK set for 6 May 2010, further changes could still be on the way.

This webinar is designed for professionals in HR, Payroll, Finance, and Tax with responsibility for transatlantic assignments and business travelers. The webinar will help identify policies and compliance procedures that reflect these new changes and avoid pitfalls.  During this one hour session, we will address:

  • General income and social tax implications when moving between the UK and the US

  • The impact of new income and social tax rates on the cost of UK/US assignments

  • The increasing need to focus on transatlantic compliance requirements

  • Guidance on what changes may occur based on the results of the UK General Election
