Client experience is at the core of growth strategy

Minneapolis, MN (January 1, 2018) Global Tax Network (GTN), an award winning global mobility tax firm, has announced two executive-level promotions. Stephen Daas, formerly Partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO) will assume the role of Partner, Global Client Experience. In addition, Craig Dexheimer, formerly Senior Director, Operations / Data Privacy & Security Officer will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer / Data Privacy & Security Officer.

Stephen Daas has been serving as Partner and COO at GTN for the past 12 years. During that time, Steve helped the firm to grow from 5 employees to now over 60. With his transition to Partner, Global Client Experience, Steve will increase his focus and commitment to the firm’s promise of being the trusted partner and resource for their clients. Steve found his niche in global mobility tax while working for one of the Big 4 accounting firms and being sent on a short-term international assignment to Brussels, Belgium. After 11 years in their global mobility practice area, Steve moved to another Big 4 accounting firm, spent 3 ½ years on an international assignment in Singapore, and became a partner in June of 2000.

“We are very excited about this shift in executive leadership at GTN,” noted Dave Kolb, President of GTN, “Steve has always been a client advocate, being a true supporter and partner for each one.”

Craig Dexheimer joined GTN in December 2013 as Senior Director, Operations / Data Privacy & Security Officer. As Chief Operating Officer / Data Privacy & Security Officer, Craig will continue to be a part of the GTN Leadership Team, where he will lead the company’s Operations Team in strategically building operational efficiencies and firm processes. He will also continue to lead and support the firm’s Technology, Finance, and Human Resources functions. Craig's professional experience includes playing key roles in entrepreneurial firms, a Fortune 50 organization, and a Big 4 accounting firm.

“Craig’s promotion to COO is a testament to his continued pursuit of organizational proficiencies and innovative leadership capabilities,” stated Kolb. “He will continue to play a key role in the growth of GTN.”

In addition to these promotions, GTN also announced several other promotions within the firm that took effect on January 1, 2018.
