Throughout 2025, service remained at the heart of GTN’s identity, guiding how we engaged with communities both locally and globally. Beyond our day-to-day work, we stayed focused on supporting meaningful causes and making a positive impact in the communities we serve. This commitment reinforces the core values that guide our firm and our responsibility to contribute to a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient future for everyone.
As we reflect on the past year, we are encouraged by the progress made across initiatives that expanded access to education, supported families, and strengthened communities. These efforts represent an ongoing commitment that will continue to guide our actions in 2026 and beyond.
Join us as we look back on the impactful initiatives we supported this past year.
Championing access to education
From March through May, our team once again came together for our annual Beards and Braids for Busy Season (BBFBS) campaign, in support of the Malala Fund. This long-standing tradition invited employees and their families to showcase creative beards, braids, and mustaches, sparking friendly competition while rallying around a meaningful cause. Participants submitted their BBFBS photos for public voting, with the winners earning well deserved bragging rights.
Last year’s campaign raised more than $5,500 to support the Malala Fund’s mission of expanding access to quality education for girls worldwide. Over the years, BBFBS has grown into a cherished GTN tradition, raising more than $50,000 for global organizations while strengthening connection and camaraderie during tax season.
And our support for the Malala Fund extends beyond the annual BBFBS campaign. For every new corporate client we serve, GTN makes a donation to the Malala Fund to advance women’s education worldwide. The organization invests directly in local advocates working within their communities to provide learning opportunities where they are needed most.
With more than 122 million girls still lacking access to education today, the need for continued support remains significant. GTN is proud to contribute to this worthy cause and to help create pathways for girls to shape their own futures.
Supporting students and families
As part of our 2025 conference this past July in Minneapolis, MN, the GTN team assembled over 800 backpacks filled with school supplies for local students. Completed in partnership with United Way, this hands-on initiative reinforced our commitment to supporting families and strengthening the communities where we work and live.
United Way focuses on improving lives and advancing the common good through education, health, and financial stability initiatives. Their programs help build more resilient communities and expand access to essential resources. Since its founding, United Way has supported more than 1.1 million families in accessing educational resources, connected 2.5 million individuals with health services, and reached 1.7 million people through financial education programs.
In addition, GTN donated 850 meals to students worldwide through FEED. Since 2007, FEED has worked to address childhood hunger, providing more than 128 million meals to children around the world. We are proud to support their mission and help increase access to essential nutrition for students in need.
Sharing holiday cheer
Leading up to the holiday season, GTN once again participated in the Toys for Tots program, facilitated by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. This longstanding initiative spreads holiday cheer to children across the United States, providing gifts to those who may otherwise go without during a time of celebration.
As financial challenges continue to affect many families, the holiday season can bring added stress and pressure. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, their families, and members of the community, GTN collected nearly 140 toys last year, helping brighten the season and bring joy and comfort to families in need.
Uplifting communities through volunteering
Throughout the year, GTN employees are encouraged to use their paid volunteer time to give back to their communities. In 2025, our employees volunteered at food banks, served on school boards, and supported school fundraising and philanthropy events. Other GTNers contributed their time to nonprofit organizations, including Executives Mentoring Soldiers, Feed My Starving Children, and United Way.
GTN is committed to supporting social and environmental causes around the globe, viewing community involvement as an integral part of our firm's values. As we reflect on the impact made throughout 2025, we look ahead to 2026 with continued focus on service, connection, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
